Monitor Acquires IDenticard Systems
Charlotte,
N.C. (Feb. 10, 2003) PRNewswire-FirstCall-- SPX Corporation
(NYSE: SPW) today announced that its Edwards Systems Technology business
has acquired IDenticard Systems, Inc. and IDenticam Systems Canada Ltd.
Together, IDenticard and IDenticam have annual revenues of approximately
$30 million.

IDenticard, based in Lancaster, Pa., was founded in 1970 and has grown
into one of the leading producers and marketers of personal identification
and access control systems in North America. IDenticard serves some
22,000 customers around the world including corporations, schools, colleges
and universities; major healthcare centers and hospitals; and Federal,
state and local governments.
IDenticam was established in 1986 as a distributor of IDenticard and
third party personal identification products. Today, IDenticam operates
out of Markham, Ontario, has approximately 4,000 customers and is the
leading Canadian personal identification supplier.
